Scale reproduction of a medieval two mullioned window (bifora), made with
natural stone and other materials.
THE PIECE IN DETAIL:
In this case the miniature reproduces a small 13th century gothic window
that emerges from the main façade of a 16th century palace built for the
nobleman Marcantonio Sauli, which unify various pre-existing buildings.
The window opens on the ground floor and is crowned by two ogival arches
enriched with decorative bas-reliefs.
The materials used are: Carrara marble and gray slate for the striped wall,
alabaster for the capital, the base of the column and the arches, Sculpey
polymer clay for the shaft, cement, vinyl glue. All the elements are worked
without the use of molds, which makes it a unique piece that will hardly be
replicated with identical characteristics.
